Chris de Burgh Christopher J. Davison was born in Argentina October 15, 1948. When Chris was 12, his family moved to Ireland, where his father bought "Bargy Castle". After the castle was renovated, the Davisons opened it as a half year hotel. This was where Chris had his first concerts, he sang to entertain the hotel guests. The de Burgh name, is from his mothers side - Maeve Emily. Chris's family tree can be related back to King Richard the Lionheart. In 1986 Chris had his first big hit with "The Lady In Red" The original name of the song was "The Way You Look Tonight", but before it was released he changed it to "The Lady In Red".

His music is beautiful, thoughtful, passionate, moving...everything you could wany from an artist. Some of his songs hold such special places in my heart, like "More Than This", "For Rosanna", and "Just A Word Away". I only wish that Chris had more support from fans in the U.S., and I regret that I have never had the opportunity to see him play live. Keep going Chris, you are the best!
