Greatest Rock Artists of the 1990s
Criteria: Popularity, Influence, Musical Impact, and Cultural Impact.
Note: This list does not take into account anything that artist did before or after the decade. Artists with two years or less of active recording during the decade are excluded, unless it was the ONLY decade in which they performed. This explains the exclusion of Eminem, System Of A Down, The White Stripes & others frequently associated with the late 90's. They would count for the 00s.

Question, Pave - Given that you gave Radiohead a high placement on the 00s list for their huge musical impact and influence, despite not being that popular are you also going to move them up on this list?

How is Sublime Jeff Buckley Tool and many other below No doubt can anyone tell me that????????

Have you tried comparing No Doubt to those artists, using the criteria? No Doubt beats all of them in popularity, and I don't think any of the four are very influential. If so, then it comes down to the question of whether any of them beat No Doubt in musical impact, and if so, do they beat them by a big enough margin to make up for No Doubt's popularity advantage.

No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom was absolutely massive and spun off numerous hits.

Popularity is a criteria on this list, and popularity includes things like sales and chart positions, which No Doubt excel in worldwide compared to the other artists.

I understand what your saying but there's no way No Doubt has more talent the Buckley Tool or Sublime
