I found out I missed a chance to see Sonny Rollins perform in Tokyo. But I'm still going to go to a jazz club sometime soon to see some top quality Japanese musicians.

Who are some of your favorite drummers? :rimshot:

thanks for reminding me of this. I was pretty big on it earlier in the year and then forgot about it. I'm relistening now and it is indeed most excellent.

I don't know how many of you are familiar with him but for those who aren't, you guys need to listen to Dave Holland - what a master!
I couldn't find it on Youtube or Grooveshark so I uploaded a whole album for you (and anyone else for that matter)

"See-Saw" from Conference of the Birds

I fucked up and I didn't tag the track numbers so for any of you that want to listen to the whole thing (I recommend you do so) it's: 1 Four Winds; 2 Q & A; 3 Conference of the Birds; 4 Interception; 5 Now Here (Nowhere); 6 See-Saw

And from one of his more recent Big Band albums Pass It On, "Lazy Snake"
http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/s/Lazy+Snake/2Ho6vq

Enjoy!

You may have heard On the Beach by Philip Cohran (although if you haven't I'll gladly hook you up). Amazing in it's own right, here's a lesser known of his. Truly incredible music.

Does anybody know where I can get the score from the '60s version of Haxan?

I love all three, but blakey proabably one that one for me. Elvin seemed pretty strung out their: not his best.

There's this cool group called The Bad Plus I found out about from allmusic. I'm listening to their album Never Stop from this year. Really adventurous stuff going on here.
