Bakshi's original concept for Cool World was very interesting and more of a horror film premise, where the cartoonist finds out he has a daughter from his old fling with Holli Would and of course she's half human/half cartoon.
But the producer had the film rewritten in secret and reworked into a Roger Rabbit clone. It's one of my favorite awful movies though, I really love the design of cool world itself with the twisted demonic looking buildings, done by a really interesting artist named Ian Miller. It had a cool techno soundtrack too. The animation is actually really good, but the cartoon/human interaction is definitely not Roger Rabbit or Space Jam quality and then there's the fact that they actually used cardboard cutouts in this movie for a lot of things.
It's a shame that the acting and writing was so horrible, because there were some very imaginative ideas to work with.
And yeah I need to rework this list and remove some of the films that actually do have their following, like Dune.
There's also movies that have that so bad people love them quality to them like Street Fighter and Judge Dread but since they're not b movies and since they fail to be what they were meant to be on such an epic scale they still belong on this list, so STFU that_guy1.
