Probably my favorite show, never could get into SFU so it's not even in the same ballpark for me.

Not sure about how I rank the seasons but 4 is definitely a 10, while the others are all interchangeably rated between 9 and 10.

And so many great characters that I also can't rank but I can say that Bubbles story arc was probably the best imo

I just finished season 2. This show is fucking amazing. I probably won't post again in this thread, at risk of viewing spoilers, but I just had to say how amazing I think this show is.

So many great characters....Omar, Bubbles, Freamon, the Sobotkas, McNulty, Bunk, Prez, Daniels, Stringer, Avon, D'Angelo, Brother Mouzone (this guy is uber bad-ass, I want more of him in season 3), and the list just keeps going and going.

I would say season 1 and 2 are about equal. I maybe, slightly prefer season 1. I'm not sure. I'll just say they're equal.

But damn, if season 3 and 4 are even better, then this just may surpass Twin Peaks as my favourite drama series.

I'm revisiting season 1 with a friend. He's never watched the show before, and it's been ages since I finished the first season before eagerly starting the second one.

Season 2 being a personal favourite of mine, I can't wait to finish the equally amazing first season and move on to the next. Frank Sobotka, here I come! :dance:

Good stuff, a lot of similarities in our posts. I'm currently in the process of my yearly re-watch of the series (3rd time now) A few eps into season 2 and it's all as good as ever.

Just watched the first episode last night, please tell me it gets better. I mean, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't very interesting, either. And don't tell me shows are never good right from the get-go, cause SFU and Oz had me hooked from episode one.
