Wow I didn't think anyone could find 99 more wackier tracks than "Revolution #9" and I have heard some of these tracks. I would add "You Know My Name Look up the Number". As for a black artist the first that came to mind was Sun Ra. Frank Zappa and Pink Floyd were certainly aware of him.

Why would we care what Pink Floyd and Zappa thought?

We don't need white rock artists to notice an artist before he is validated as good.
