Yes! I'm not the only one! The Daily Show can be a bit of a hit and miss, however when they get it right, it's pure <3. :thumb: They certainly are guilty of recycling some of their gags, and since they're so dependent on current events some of the snark can be a bit of a stretch at tines, especially when they're ain't much going on... the McCain vs. Obama election saga was gold tho.

Stephen's really lost any fun in the satire element and turned into straight up liberal opinion with jokes.

Yeah, pretty much.

I don't remember him ever having a good era though.

I haven't watched either in a couple years, but I always thought Colbert was easily funnier. Stewart always seemed to annoying.

Colbert had a word segment recently called "the great white wail" that was pure gold. Daily show is gold every time it talks about DADT.

The Colbert Report was my preference for a long time, and it's still pretty good, but the joke has gotten kind of old. The Daily Show still cracks me up every time I watch it though.

Thoughts on this list of Stewart's Top 10 moments?

http://www.time.com/time/specials/packa ... 43,00.html

I think the 9/11 moment should have been #1.

Yeah I agree. Having it at 5, below the stupid Indecision 2000 bit (which shouldn't be there at all) is ludicrous.
The Beck bit and Crossfire were hilarious. Too bad this list was made last year, so his fantastic Tuscon monologue wasn't on there.

I love both. I think Daily Show has the better writers, yet I think the show is more prone to serious misfires than Colbert is, which is because of how hit or miss the correspondents can be. Colbert is definitely the better comedian of the two, his interviews are always great and he can carry a show completely by himself, which I don't think Stewart could do.

It took a while for me to get into Stewart, for a while I just didn't get him.

But yeah. The Glenn Beck parody was genius.
