What albums from the Top 10 artists can you guys recommend? I don't have very much power metal.

Depends on what kind of Power Metal you want- if you want the more flowery stuff like Sonata Arctica, the more 'epic' stuff like Blind Guardian/Lost Horizon, more symphonic like Kamelot...
A number of these artists have numerous albums worth a listen but I'll save some space and give you just a few personal recommendations:

Lost Horizon - A Flame to the Ground Beneath
Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle Earth
Kamelot - The Black Halo
Kiuas - The Spirit of Ukko (less straightforward power, they're about as power as Nevermore are prog.), Lustdriven
Iced Earth - Horror Show

Well what about Sonata Arctica? I don't have any by them. I have some epic stuff and some symphonic stuff, but don't know where to start with Sonata.

The first thing I got from Sonata Arctica was actually buying the "Best of Sonata Arctica" album off iTunes. As much as I prefer recommending actual albums, I think that's a great place to start with them. If you must have a proper studio album, I'd flip a coin over Silence, Winterheart's Guild and Reckoning Night.

Black Halo isn't power either, but it's fantastic.

I'd recommend any Avantasia or Edguy album! :metal:

Black Halo's power enough to be considered power metal.
If you want to listen to any Edguy go for Hellfire Club- but Edguy's so cheesy they make Sonata Arctica look like... well, when I come across a metal band without some level of cheese I'll tell you.

Form the bands in the top ten I'd recommend Manowar's first 4, Blind Guardian's Somewhere Far Beyond and Imaginations From the Other Side, and Helloween's Walls of Jericho. Most of those aren't power metal albums though.

Looking at the list I can't help but feel Sonata Arctica is a bit high. They're the same ilk as Hammerfall and Kamelot in terms of when they started/rose to fame, so I see no good reason for them being spaced so far apart. Especially considering Kamelot is a lot more popular these days and are a more original/creative band. I especially don't see them being a greater power metal band than Angra.

Thanks for the suggestions, but what about Iced Earth? All I have is The Dark Saga, and I hear their other stuff is all awesome.

Well everything before Dark Saga is a lot more speed metal-y, but Night of the Stormrider is still a fantastic album (even without Barlow's vocals). Like Maddolis said, Horror Show is another great album, and easily the most 'power metal' of their older stuff. Everything since this has been more grand and symphonic, but I wouldn't recommend most of it.

I know Edguy gets labelled as cheesy because of the joke songs, but they have their share of serious songs. Avantasia on the other hand, is all serious, esp the new albums.

Looking at your avatar I can't help myself saying Clapton was good only in Cream and D&D. Old Clapton is disappointing.

Back to the topic and metal in general - I would recommend Halloween's Keepers (both parts) and Jag Panzer's Ample Destruction.

Rage needs a boost. Great list anyway.
