frank ocean's about a 3.5/5 for me, some really great stuff and some of it doesn't quite grab me as it should. a relisten is in order perhaps

I don't know how you could listen to music like that without it being lyrically excellent (in which case it could be very good), but it's not lyrically good so I don't like it.

I completely agree with that. I've also only heard it once, but nothing resonated with me greatly

Pyramids is another of those songs which is just a bunch of separate, individually pedestrian parts all slapped together into a single track as if a lack of track breaks would hide the averageness.

I've heard it once and enjoyed it quite a bit. Not a 9.5 amount, but if most of the rest of the album hits me like Pyramids, I could see that score just about justified.

I don't hate it. I think it's thoroughly average. But it's getting a lot of attention so I think its total averageness deserves forceful stating.

yeah no one's hating man, it's quite good but not spectacular - im gonna be a bit shocked if it ends up on top 3 in the end of year lists
