I agree, a very hooking game. I always listen to new albums while playing that.

Rayman Origins.

This game is the fucking bomb. Sadly I didn't grow up with this series, but this game has me sold on it now. Everything about this game is great, the hand drawn graphics are fantastic and the level design is some of the best I've seen in a non Mario platformer. This game is even better than New SMB Wii, which I loved.

A couple of my friends played through that recently. It looked fun as hell.

Recently I've mostly been playing Curveball 3D, Mega Bomberman and Road Rash 3.

Just finished Kingdom Hearts II (little disappointing), probably gonna start Final Fantasy IV DS next.

just started playing Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. also been playing the first three guitar hero games. they're addictive as hell.

Been sinking hours and hours into Morrowind. It's a game that really rewards persistence and patience. Eventually sprinting/jumping/flying around everywhere becomes a breeze as you can create insanely powerful spells and items.

Also, been enjoying expanding the game's soundtrack by importing the Oblivion and Star Wars: KOTOR soundtracks into its game files. Downloading the Fable soundtrack to add atm.

I'm replaying Alan Wake on hard difficulty. It's a bit too repetitive for my tastes, but still a fun, intense gaming experience. And it looks gorgeous.

Been re-playing Oblivion. How did they go from such a great game to Skyrim?

What's so wrong with Skyrim? I mean, I preferred Morrowind myself, but surely it isn't bad enough to warrant a statement like that.

Skyrim has an interesting premise but it just feels more of the same to me. That's just a personal thing though seeing as how when I played Oblivion I had never played a game like it before.

In other news, I just beat Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It was a very nice balance of stealth and combat, and while it had some pacing problems, overall it was very fun game, certainly better than any other Call of Duty/Modern Warfare related title. The biggest gripe I have is the difficulty curve. Compared to some of the previous missions, the final mission was a breeze. I really wish the storyline was a bit longer though, but had it gone on for longer it may have lost some of its power. Overall I would give it a B-.

More of the same doesn't equal shitty game, the general idea of video game sequels (besides making more money) is to take the same basic elements of the last game and improve them and expand from them.

Reinventing the wheel with every sequel might work for some franchises, but the inevitable result is an incredibly broken, divided fanbase. For goodness sakes, just look at Final Fantasy.
