Triptykon- Eparistera Daimones

8/10 It's good, but I wish there was one more fast song like A Thousand Lies.

Has anyone listened to the new Morbid Angel? It's worse than St. Anger.

I listened to a couple of tracks and laughed myself silly.

My favourite 2011 albums would be those of Moonsorrow, Cormorant, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Gernotshagen. Definitely get on those if you haven't heard them already.

Schizophrenia (Sepultura): 3.5/5
Sick shit, they actually show a decent amount of variation on here, and one of the most badass album covers in all of metal to boot.
"From The Past Comes The Storms" = one of the most underrated thrash songs ever. Helluva way to kick off an album, with that creepy intro and everything.

Angel Rat (Voivod): 4.5/5
I really don't know if you could even consider this a full-fledged "metal" album, but Jesus Christ do I love it! Seems to be some strange mixture of metal, punk, and psychedelia...but imo they really make it work. The hooks are phenomenal, the songwriting keeps me wanting more.
I would never even DREAM this was the same band that recorded War And Pain 7 years earlier.

Seeing them live was an absolute experience. See them if you can.

Also has anyone heard "Blood of the Nations" by Accept? An album that unbelievably good came out of nowhere for them and Mark Tornillo is somehow managing to give Udo a run for his money.

Yeah, Blood Of The Nations is phenomenal, I heard it a while back.
Some of the guitar soloing on there is just sublime...
