only thing i see that's really different about yadier this year is how hard he's hitting the ball. 30% LD rate will normalize a bit I'm sure but his K%, BB% and babip are all in line with his career norms. his O-swing% is down 5% too, so along with the added pop it appears he's seeing the ball better as well. as for the stolen bases, yeah he's always been pretty silly. he was pujols' buddy and albert is a notoriously aggressive (and just really good) baserunner that likes to pick up random steals. matheny has the Cardinals running a lot in general this year. kdzjfklsdj

Yeah the double was the one time Elvis didn't get on. He really let Josh down there he could have had a five home run game. I've been really impressed with Elvis' hitting since the first few weeks. Good approach and getting himself close to .400 on base. He'll fall back some but he's actually hitting like a good 2 hitter.

Hamilton's problems will be staying healthy. He's only gotten over 500 ABs twice in his career (and only 3 times over 500 plate appearances). Given his age, style of play, and addiction hampered body I'm betting that it will be tough for him to end up hitting the home run figure (if Elvis and Kinsler keep getting on base like this the RBIs shouldn't be too hard). But Monga is right it's a bit early.

Busch Stadium has consistently been one of the top 6-7 friendliest ballparks for pitchers over the last few years, but this year it's got the third highest park factor in the majors. League-leading .360 team wOBA might have something to do with that oh shi

Yeah. Hilariously I think the Ballpark in Arlington has the 4th lowest pitching factor. The Rangers kick ass pitching at home must have something to do with that.

Well Darvish managed to come back out after a ridiculous rain delay (they never should have started the game in the first place) and Wilson could not (not that it was looking great for him with 1 run already plated, one out, and the bases loaded). Wilson takes the loss after giving up four earned in 1/3rd of an inning. He will pitch again today which means he can be one of the first starters in a while to lose games on back to back days.
