It's boring slow and shitty. Compared to the rest of the options (including the other Pink Floyd album, which I like) it might as well be a Michael Bolton record.

dark side falls into the 'i respect it but will probably never listen back to front again' category for me. it's largely disposable, except that it has those 2-3 classic tunes which you can always come back to.

This is pretty much how I feel about it. I respect it but I really don't think I could get through it anymore. That being said, "The Great Gig in the Sky" is still fantastic.

"Time" is probably my favourite of TDSOTM. The intro always gives me shivers, building up to the climax slowly and steadily.

Personally, I think the first half of the album is so much better than the second one.

Oh, yeah, the first side kicks the shit out of the first side.

The album cover doesn't make much sense, just looks awesome. I had to check it out the first time I saw the album cover.

The heartbeat at the beginning of DSoTM, and launching into "Breathe", takes me to another place, and the rest of the album keeps me there until the very last heartbeat. Just as it did 38 years ago, when I first heard it.
