well shabazz palaces' Black Up was in a class of its own, probably the best alternative rap release in awhile

Danny Brown's XXX was also amazing

then there's also:

DJ Quik- Book of David
Main Attraktionz
Lil B

and that's just me scraping the surface, there's a whole other world of underground shit and mixtapes that I never ventured to yet. Oh yeah Watch the Throne is there too which is overrated but a fun time neverthelsss. And whatever Drake is.

This year I'm playing catchup with albums in general, but I thought Schoolboy Q's mixtape was dope as HELL

New Death Grips a bit more toned down than Exmilitary but in a very very good way. Whoa.

So glad you and Mitch have been talking about them. I got curious and checked out Exmilitary and it is killer. I'm gonna get Money Store after I listen through Exmilitary once more.

"Protect Ya Neck" is my favorite, but that's way too easy an answer, so instead I will give some love to a less appreciated track

The Symphony is a great one. Could never decide which was my favourite verse from Kool G and BDK.
