Did you catch the video of VC at the Zildjian clinic in 83?

If I add limb independence as a criteria (which I intend to) is there any reason for Akira Jimbo not to be top 25? I think he's arguably better than Harrison, and Harrison is a monster. I'm also going to post some Harrison videos since I think he doesn't get enough attention, he's very good.

Yeah the Vinnie vid was really good, though I think he's better now, his style is much more refined and has matured a ton.

don't think I could practice this, too good for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGHu0Id9 ... ure=relmfu

EDIT: Actually after watching his heel-toe method and tons of other stuff of his, why is he out of top 20? I don't think I've ever been so impressed with a drummer....what he does is absolutely out of this world and unlike anything I've seen, I watched a bit of his stuff before but jesus christ after watching more of it....I've never seen any independence and control of this level.

Uh, yeah that was sick. His separation from from all four limbs is incredible.

Top 20 doesn't sound like a stretch to me.

I don't think it is, when he does stuff like play superstition, wishing well, and other stuff, even more than just plain independence, the ability to separate and play both Rhythm and melody takes such mental discipline it's unbelievable how he does it.

Yeah the guy is unreal. Definitely another one to be checking into..

Anyway CRJ, do you think Paul Hammond could make top 100 here? He was Carl Palmer's replacement in Atomic Rooster. Guy is phenomenal, imo. There's a great solo toward the end here, but I actually enjoy the rest of the song even more.

yeah I agree, I don't think we'll see anyone better in our lifetime...well unless Tony Royster stops with the rap and starts honing his abilities for years to come....since he's still very young and has a long way to go. I still don't see it happening though

he does have a fusion band of his own, beside his hip hop drumming, so we never know...

Just heard my first performance from Beauford, and man I'm impressed.
I never liked Dave Matthews Band, but the guy is spectacular.

Excellent cover, I could have sworn it was going to be The Chicken though.
