JCP really isn't very difficult. What most people seem to struggle with is understanding the pattern, which is actually incredibly simple.
Here Comes Sickness may not be particularly difficult itself, but it is a more varied performance and the use of ghost notes can make it tricky.

You do know that we're not judging these performances based only on their difficulty, right?

So what?

Actually that sounds a fair bit more difficult than JCP at least to my ears. As in, it's not all one big paradiddle.

I don't think it sounds more difficult, but it definitely sounds just as awesome.

Just wanted to make sure you knew...

Anyway, some intense double bass from Charlie Benante...

Well, a lot of the praise from most folks toward JCP is based on the perceived difficulty, because it sounds so busy and fast. Largely thanks to the way it's mixed (which is not a bad thing in any way) it seems a lot of drummers simply can't figure out what Cameron's playing and they just try doing it by ear which, again thanks to the way it's mixed, isn't a terribly practical method.
Playing-wise what that performance really has going for it is endurance, muscle memory and precision. It is very easy to speed up the more you play that and lose some of the dynamics (Cameron did it all the time live).

How the hell does he have his set triggered? On a lot of his videos it seems like he gets multiple tones from both his acoustic and etoms

I think it's triggered based on where he hits them, like he has a radius or something, since I see him move around his stick on the toms and snares for different sounds

Even though Bruce is obviously the better singer and frontman, there are times when I think the debut album might still be their best overall.

Oh, and I think Clive is every bit as good as Nicko.

That is just insane musical mastery, not to mention creative as hell. Damn.

On a different note, I've always known that Joey Kramer from Aerosmith was ridiculously underrated.
Just listen to this whole song, all the way through. I promise you'll thank me.
