Well i would say that im a bit of a realist, especially during this season. there was never much hope after the month of september that we would surface as contenders to claim the league title; we were always competing for the last two spots of the champions league, but i never thought we could come close enough to nab the title. We can't catch Man Utd and Man City in my opinion, maybe one, but not both. I doubt both teams would go through gigantic slipups at the same time, while we would go on another 7 game run before the qpr game. It does help that we do play city, but Man united have a pretty easy schedule from here on out.

I agree with all that, Chem, I'm just surprised at how many Arsenal fans now seem to want to pip Spurs to 3rd. I actually think Arsenal fans care more about it than Spurs fans. And some of the players (the keeper & Wilshere have been quite vocal on this point). Because for Spurs the Champions League is still a total novelty than concentrates the attention more than any pleasant side effects that qualification for that might bring.
No offence, but Arsenal (IMHO) were never league contenders, haven't really been for a few years and won't be next season.

I don't see why they wont be for next season. Since october 3rd, we have only three less points than Man Utd. Also, if we didnt go through the awful start, and the month of Jan without two left backs, and three right backs, we would be doing much better.

Fantastic result for Manchester United tonight, that was the one game i was worried about and i'm pleased we have won it. Even as a born pessimist, i have to admit it is now United's Championship to lose. Antonio Valencia is some player and he was by some margin the best player on the pitch. I don't think he meant his goal, but it came at the right time as i thought the game was heading towards a draw. If United can win on Sunday and build an 8 point lead before City's next game, it would be interesting to see how the City players would react.

I can't begin to describe how much I want to see this thing removed from civilised society.

I'm happy United are gonna win the title now after how Ballotelli behaved today. It mistifies me how people are fascinated with him because he's supposedly a "character" and allegedly has "personality". If I was to idolise a footballer it'd be because they were intelligent and witty, not because they go around making horrendous challenges and doing moronic things like throwing darts at youth players and setting fireworks off in their bathrooms. The guy's a complete idiot.

We can argue about the hardest shot and the best strike etc - but I cant remember a proper shot from as far out as this and wait till you see the view from behind !!
