"Blitzkrieg" always disappointed me with its recycling of one of the main themes from "Evil Eye".

Bay,
No I don't think Born To Run or People Get Ready are top 20.
Forgot to mention those.

Also this is only rock performances right? I think you should specify that in the title, otherwise we'd have lots of blues/fusion, etc., on our hands.

Is this list supposed to be studio performances only?

For certain. Still think it might be Blackmore's best studio solo.

A Light In The Black is also VERY underrated.

Make suggestions on criteria and what songs should be on the list. This could be a really fun list to make

Criteria: Influence, Creativity, Memorable moments (riff, solo, etc.), Showcase of guitarists skills
Format: Song - Guitarist(s) (Artist)

Songs in the Top 20
Purple Haze-Jimi Hendrix
Voodoo Child (Slight Return)-Jimi Hendrix
All Along The Watchtower-Jimi Hendrix

Probably #1. And don't forget Achilles Last Stand for the top 10.

Suggestion:

War Pigs - Black Sabbath

I am agreeing with Clash there on all 3 tracks....However, Heartbreaker should have been in the top 20 .... absolutely legendary riff and solo, no matter how sloppy it is, it's immensely popular and influential ....

What's so sloppy in it?

I'm always surprised when people ask what's so sloppy about the Heartbreaker solo. It's notorious for slop.
