Id like some more of that later solo stuff, but it just cant be found, which is irritating. I am begining to think just from this man that russian music may be to my liking. damn unavailability. but his double live CD is truly spectacular. Buddy is one of the 3 best tracks, along with Black Butterfly(which you 1st introduced to me George) and Tipsy Dance, which may be my overall favorite. I would have uploaded the whole album on youtube had I the speed to do so.

Pete Townshend. Wow.

As I'm sure you are aware, whomever uploaded that video mislabeled what is called the Pontiac Silverdome as Pontiac Stadium. There is no Pontiac Stadium.

Rv

Fantastic - I love the way Joe is diversifying - He can be pretty well anything he wants to be from here.

(and I cant stand John Mayer either)

I certainly hope so. dude really can do anything, as rv mentioned, hopefully gonna be one of the all time greats by the time his time is done. Also, John Mayer's got some of the worst songs ever possible, but he can play the guitar when he wants to.

Robinsons acoustic stuff is still a cut above his electric i guess.

Tommy Bolin/Billy Cobham-Quadrant 4 from 1973 .... easy to tell how this inspired Jeff Beck ... Take care

^gminer that was sensational! Damn Bolin was something else

Jeff Beck and SRV ripping it up:

Stevie is blistering, but Jeff answers with impeccable tone and phrasing.

I agree Yousha, Bolin is just phenomenal on everything I've heard.

Check out that Beck/Vaughan performance too. Sick.

Say whaaaaaa? :ugh:

Two different styles really. Jeff had better tone and didn't overplay as much, imo.

... I would suggest the more you explore Bolin, you might come to the conclusion he is possibly the greatest American rock guitarist after Hendrix ... it is a thought I continue to return to for many a year ... Take care
