4/10 for Wanted's link ^. Way too dull and boring for my tastes....decent voice though.

Anyway, I'm not much on Geddy's voice, but I think Tim will agree that this is pretty incredible. Phrasing, power and lots of passion.

*plus the solo from Alex....damn what an amazing piece of music!*

Yes, that was very good. The song was great, and Geddy's singing was awesome. It is such a shame that debut album got so devastating reviews back then. 8/10

Wait for the big climax.

6.5/10. Wanted would love that one!

9/10

Not my favorite Dusty song, but I'd love her singing just about anything.

Something a bit different.

Interesting, but not really anything special to me. Nice voice I guess. 4/10.

By far Halford's most powerful full-voice highs ("WHAT DO YOU WAAAAAAAAAAANT!").

Hi - my first post here. All you need to know about me is that I am obsessed with Ann Wilson, especially her 70's persona. Not only was she hot as hell back then, but OMG what a voice. Here's a performance of Crazy On You from a show in Washington in 1976. There's a lot of great footage from that show (White Lightning & Wine is especially awesome), but this is one of the highlights.

Thanks for letting me be part of your community. I look forward to participating in the drummers and guitarists threads as well.

Rich

Welcome to the forum.
Always great to have a new person here, especially now since it's been so inactive lately.

The purpose for this particular thread is to post vocal performances that you think are amazing, and then someone else rates it on a scale of 1 to 10 and post their own performance, etc. If you look through the earlier pages of this thread you'll see how it's done.

We all love Ann here too! That performance was great and yes, good Lord she was a fox at that time. As a vocal performance, I'll give that a 6.5/10 because I know she could do better. But I don't think I've ever heard her sound bad.

Seeing your love for Ann makes me want to express my love for Grace Slick. Imo, an even better voice than Ann, although she doesn't have Ann's range.
But, you tell me...

8/10

Grace is just a little *too* vibrato-y for me. And Ann > Grace. But Dusty > both.

This might have been posted before, but I'm not about to go check the whole topic.

Oh I LOVE Burdon! A deserved classic if there ever was one, 6.5/10 vocally.

Low key, understated but beautifully done.

I said I dug the song. You can stop with the whole condescending sarcastic schtick already.

Life is too short to be a dick all the time.

What about the wail at the tail end of Rapid Fire: "Se-cond to NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!!!!" or..
"with vicTOOOORRRRRRYYY..on hIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH!!!!!" in Freewheel Burning? Those are high but both are full voice and powerful as shit. I think people sometimes forget Rob can still go really high and powerful in full voice.
