I feel like the only two inclusions that I have to defend at all are Hans Moleman and Kent Brockman. The Simpson family has always been the heart of the show of course, but I think what really puts the Simpsons on such a higher level than other sitcoms is the town of Springfield itself. Most of my favorite jokes on the show come from the weirdness of the town on a collective level. I feel that Kent Brockman and Hans Moleman represent the oddity of Springfield best.

Also, the reason I included Larry David but not the OG George Costanza is simply because I've seen way more Curb than Seinfeld.
