Dystopia's very good.
Otherwise I think I have Horror Show and Something Wicked and they're solid.

I think Night of the Stormrider, but if you love the Dark Saga, Burnt Offerings is right up your alley because it has Matt Barlow along with Dark Saga, whereas Stormrider doesn't. Although Days of Purgatory has most of those songs re-recorded with Matt Barlow, and they all sound better (maybe not The Path I Choose).

United States doesn't run the world, especially musically, so that's the dumbest fucking thing you could post.

General rule is first release = release year.

I agree that the release year is the initial release rather than the US release. However, if we were to put together lists of the top bands by nation regardless of genre, we would need at least a top 200 for the US. Whereas, we would need only a top 20 or top 50 for most other nations.

Top 20 German Teutonic Metal bands
Top 15 Swedish Death Metal bands

Plus the folk list we never started.
Not a particularly active forum but you may as well go for it.

Just heard these guys' debut 2010 album, it's incredible.
Can people rec me some middle eastern folk metal in the same vein as Melechesh, Orphaned Land, Myrath and Aeternam? I suppose also similar to Arkan, Lykathea Aflame and Winterhorde as well. That whole sound works particularly well.
