An amazing singer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tC1auBpqZ4E - My favourite Bonnet performance. Thanks to Yngtchie for drawing my attention to this. One of my favourite songs ever now. Listen to the freaking clarity of the highs here!

I've heard 2 performances here before, Hiroshima, which is breathtaking and the acoustic performacne which is also pretty good.
So now I listened to Only One Woman..DAMN, this guy is amazing, those highs were amazing! How old was he back in 1968?

Just 21... He had some notable skill for a guy of that age. He was singing from very young age I think.

He's got a pretty huge discography and I haven't heard that much of it, but here are two songs that comes to mind...

Both of those were ace! I'm really starting to love this guy...
Wicked high register and I must say those clips do show some great versatility...

Yeah he's got some wicked versatility... not just stylistic either. He has a ton of different "voices" at his disposal. My only knock on him would be that he's not great live, but blah, with studio performances as stellar as his I'm not too bothered.

He might be underrated technically as well actually... He can pull off some pretty killer vocal runs for example.

That ballad Curios posted was great! This man is killer!

Now, I noticed he started as a nice crooner and then as he got old, his voice got rougher and rougher... The song All Night Long Tim posted is a cover of a Rainbow song from 1979 and the original singer was: Graham Bonnet!

P. S. Has anyone heard Jeff Scot Sotto's version of Hiroshima, he did a very nice job!

Bonnet is a great singer, always thought so when I'd hear Since You Been Gone on the radio all the time as a kid. Impressive high singing up to E5 on that one come to think of it and a good song 8-)

Wanted, Soto's Hiroshima is pretty good, I'm not huge on his tone though!

Yeah, his version is good, but it's sped up so it's a bit easier to get the highs...

Anyway, I've found a great live performance from Bonnet where he hits some high notes:

Soto's version is good but it can't compete with the rough manliness of Bonnet's. No homo. He's also singing it in a lower key.
