That Eric Johnson vid was absolutely incredible. Fuck what a tone.
And speaking of tone....

"This is the blues, are you listenin'?".

Too bad they're almost four years old now. But Joe will be back, no question about it.

Siiiiick, thanks for those yngtchie. Hes like the great enigmatic guitar god, there are like 10 recorded examples of his work out there. I remember listening to his songs on myspace constantly then they disappeared. If you havent heard his soundcloud page yet george you should give it a listen http://soundcloud.com/joe-chawki

I've held onto many recordings Joe himself no longer have, such as little impromptu guitar improv clips. Those may surface in the future if Joe wants them online.

Yeah, I believe it's similar to how Otis Rush strings his guitars.

Joe Bonamassa talking about when Gatton was his teacher and also playing some awesome gatton type licks on the acoustic.

If youve never seen Bonamasa picking an acoustic then this is worth a watch !!

I knew there was a Gatton JB connection but not the details so thanks for that and thanks also for the vid,
I honestly never get tired of hearing (watching) Joe play, talk, etc.

More Joe/acoustic

SRV used to say that he didn't play music, the music played him and JB just might be approaching that station if he hasn't already arrived.
