Maybe they're trying to be clever and hint that its lack of a solo is what makes it worthy of an inclusion?

Fuck if I know.

So you don´t think that Greenwood is the greatest rock guitarist of the last 15 years? To disagee with that is stupid.

I haven't said that. All I say is he doesn't have such supremacy that he deserves two solos in the top ten of ALL TIME. Do you think he does?

YES

Yngtch, I'm beggin you, you have the power to stop this!

Nice tune, but if this is in the top 10 NME list of all time - can somebody tell me where the guitar solo actually is?

It's between around 2:57 and 3:27. It's actually my favourite Radiohead solo. Not top 10 of all time good, but awesome nonetheless.

Hm, now that you mention it...

It's not a 'solo' in the conventional sense, tho, more akin to George's solo in "Nowhere Man", in that it's based less on single notes than what you'd normally hear.

If you watch this live (as on Jools Holland shown), its almost identical and its a really nice instrumental interlude, but I cant accept that its really a solo, especially as the NME comment alongside their clip talks about Greenwood saving up his chops for this one !!

Seeing pictures of Becker in that condition always make me feel so sad.

Anyone here like Albert Lee? It's been next-to-impossible to find solo albums.

I got into him when I heard him play at the Fender Stratocaster 50th Anniversary concert. I've never heard anyone pick like that.

Ive seen him several times, mostly with Hogans Heroes (Amazon has some of their albums) . The guy who owns our local music venue is a friend of Alberts and gets him to come up and play this tiny bar maybe once every couple of years. Fantastic musician and 'Country Boy' just brings the house down !!

He pretty well only plays his sig Music Man these days

Is EJ the most tasteful guitarist in rock? I think he really might be. The guy blows me away.
