Theres quite a few good quality clips from some Hart/Bonamassa show.

Heres the single 'Take care of you' - This is seriously good (and the tits stay in - just !!). An amazing voice and a sublime solo to finish it off

food for thought..................if Joe had of became known back in the days when Clapton
Beck, Page became known, well, imo we would all talk about him with the same reverence.

Great stuff my man! His Young Man Blues was killer, though overall you just cant fuck with The Who's.
But man that soloing was something else.

I agree he's probably on par with the greats for pure intensity, but I dont think he has the versatility/creativity of Beck for example. That's kind of what sets Beck apart from most of his peers...

Of course Joe would be considered as one of the greats had he played like this 40 years ago. The question is, would he have played like this if the mentioned greats hadn't paved the way and shaped rock guitar playing the way they did before Joe was even born.

Its the reverence in which Joe holds these guys that is important. There are some great YT clips of JB playing Midnight Blues at a Gary Moore tribute and some fine clips playing songs by his idol Paul Kossoff. I notice that whenever he does this, he always plays them with taste and love - no overplaying wankery. I think, that as he was playing with Danny Gatton and supporting BB King at 12 years old, Joe would have been a great player in any era.

There is a short interview on the BCC DVD in which he describes with passion his 'addiction' to guitars and how its as strong now as the 1st day he ever picked one up. hell, if blues rock hadnt existed, he would probably have invented it for us !!

Great vocal, reminded me of the great Tracy Nelson of 'Mother Earth' fame.

Just finished watching a PBS special, Joe at Royal Albert Hall with Clapton on 'Further On Up The Road' and several remembrances by Joe re:that night and thoughts on his career.

Great stuff Rick. That was some shit-hot playing there! So great to see a student and a master playing together like that...

What I wouldnt give, however, to see Joe play with Cream/Dominoes-era Clapton. Now that would truly be a mind-boggler...

Got my tickets for Joe's solo show in Nottingham on 2nd April

This will my 8th show of his and its a 5000 seater venue (half a 10,000 seater arena).

We are front block, 9th row, so good seats, but its the biggest venue Ive seen him in. Every year he plays bigger places.

In 2012

New studio album and new live album, New Beth Hart Album, New BCC album and tours to support all 3 !!

Another incredible year to come - where does he get his energy (and creativity) from ???
