We did. So we should have one here definitely.

Hey Dreww when are you gonna employ the three tier system? Having orange be the top tier was a good idea.

Orange > italic red.

I'll admit orange may be better but if you think that means I'm going to go re-edit 73 fucking threads every time someone comes up with a new tiering idea on another part of the forum, you're out of your gourd.

orange actually looks too similar to red, i have a better time telling italics apart. Plus what about our color blind posters? At least give them a 2 out of 3 tier chance of telling apart stuff

6 means really really bad if you're going by the TomMorello definition.

And no, I haven't gotten over that, and I never will. What a fucking idiot.

chem, you and corrections think "excellent" is better than "great", this makes no sense to me. i mean i know it's empty pedantry, but it's just weird how cheapened the word "great" has become... isn't greatness reserved for the few?

eg, alexander the great >>>>>>> alexander the excellent

Ha i know, its just a way at how we relate to certain words, and we all relate differently. I should have made my ranking system based on super mario world:

Gnarly
Tubular
Way Cool
Awesome
Mondo
Groovy
Outrageous
Funky

Is there a Buster Keaton thread? I think there definitely should be. By far the greatest of the silent stars. Fuck Chaplin.

Great is used very laxly in everyday English, so it loses that sort of impact outside the specific context you mentioned (Alexander the Great). Excellent, on the other hand, is used more sparingly and so is generally taken to be of higher quality, even if it makes for a less awesome name for emperors.

I like a bunch of Keaton's films, but "fuck Chaplin"? For serious?
