How is there such a large difference between fan and baseball for some players? over 37 point difference for griffey?

Like I said, what real value can the stat have if it's this much different depending upon who calculates it?

Can you imagine if two sites differed greatly on OPS+ ?

However you guage Griffey, his stats are nothing special. I think he played too deep, resulting in some great plays by the fences, but also in lots of base hits falling in front of him.
