Santana's "Lotus" is just incredible. Carlos gets a little repetitive throughout, but his tone is outta this world, and he plays his ass off on just about every track.
Amazing, amazing stuff...

* There have been questions of the "liveness" of Thin Lizzy`s Live and Dangerous but for the time being, the placement on the list will be as if that was not an issue..... Wheels on Fire by Cream has also been a source of debate as it is not a complete live album

A quick explanation of the criteria used for the basis of this list is as follows - Criteria: - Popularity, Influence and Impact but also material that represents those rock guitarists that are seen as some of the greatest live players both by their peers and critics ... for example Phil Keaggy`s live work may not be very well known but as a live player he is significant enough to warrant an entry on this list ..... any thoughts/comments/etc ??.... Take care

Tribute just own's it in so many ways, THE live metal album !!, but probably it's just me, It was one of those albums that completely blew me away when i first heard it, even though i'm not that into metal. Randy shows realy what he's capable of.
