Much of the acclaim for Yojimbo is based on Mifune's performance, which isn't really true of Rashomon or SS. It's also a better showcase by far for his acting talents. He damn near personifies effortless cool and wit.

Yeah, I was thinking of lowering either (but not both) Rashomon or SS to regular red and italicizing Yojimbo instead, too.

I might to a Takashi Shimura one later to compliment this one and have the two actors most associated with Kurosawa up with tiers and threads (yes, Shimura's tier - if I ever do it - will have Ikiru in red-bold italics)

Just watched Drunken Angel, and I do really believe that it is a red-worthy performance. Not as raw as many of his later films, but great use of sublties. The scene where Nanae leaves him absolutely broke my heart, and he didn't have to even move.

Okay, despite what I said earlier, I don't think I Live in Fear should be bolded, especially not when at the expense of The Quiet Duel which I feel is a far superior performance, especially at the point of his career where he was in danger of being typecast.
Oh and on that note, you forgot about These Foolish Times.

Done w/ bolding what needs to

As for "These Foolish Times"

does "These Foolish Times" have at least a boldworthy performance for me to put it in the filmography?

No, but it was his second film ever, so it seems a little strange it not being there.

 on the tiers update btw
