One of his most underrated riffs, imo. Killer stuff.

The version on TSRTS is the ultimate.

I prefer the Sgt. Page's Badgeholder Club Band bootleg version actually.
It has arguably the best No Quarter on it as well.

Stairway:

No Quarter:

I like how he renamed the songs.

SanTropez posted the entire bootleg on MegaUpload or some site like that a couple of years ago, because he thought this version to be the 'ultimate' No Quarter. That's how I came across it (him being an authority on Zep bootlegs and all...).

Hope you like it!

Surfin' Alien I think. It felt kind of inappropriate to use it again, since I'm not that big a Satriani fan anyway. It was the first time I liked an instrumental rock album.
I wasn't an active or memorable member. This hasn't changed much.
I seldom feel the need to react or to have a music-related discussion. This ignorant fool is comfortable with just reading. :tiphat:

Thinking about it now, I would be hard pressed to name a best Stairway and NQ. There are so many great versions.

The Seattle 3/21/1975 STH definitely has a hat in the ring. Easily my favorite 1975 show overall. NQ is smokin' from that show as well. Maybe the best pre-guitar solo jam.

There is a Euro '73 STH that has an incredible solo going before the soundboard is tragically cut. I can't remember the date though. Any help Georgi?

I love the recklessness of Page's solo here....just pure out of control rock & roll twang!
