For the same reason I don't like Opeth. Random acoustic interludes are dumb and they make the listener think "What the fuck was that for?"

So you're saying that Opeth would be great without the interludes?

The acoustic bits don't sound out of place on the album at all, and I'm someone who hates folk and "pagan" metal in general.

Most of the acoustic sections in Opeth albums I'm familiar with don't feel out of place to me.

Mostly because they aren't.

Sarcófago don't seem to be on any of the death, thrash or black metal lists.
In anything. I don't really listen to them but they're fairly influential.

Don't. They're not any good. And just like with Venom, I can't classify if it's whether thrash or black tbh.

Sarcófago rule.

I'd personally have them on the black metal list, but with no Venom they'd seem out of place. Thrash wouldn't be too bad for them, though. They'd rank pretty well on a proto-extreme metal list. Metal was much cooler when the lines between thrash, black, and death metal were blurred.

Venom is definitely thrash.

Venom are not thrash. If there's going to be a single genre label that suits Venom, it's heavy metal.

I like to use the "speed metal" tag because they aren't quite heavy metal but they aren't quite thrash.

I think they had enough sweep picking, shredding and double bass rhythms for it to be considered thrash. Shit if they called that album Thrash Metal instead of Black Metal, they would have been way closer to the truth. (Especially when you consider how much faster black metal is than thrash metal).

Most speed metal bands tend to be proto-thrash or proto-power so I wouldn't disagree with that. Of all the genres out there, personally I'd say they're closest to thrash but there's little reason for us to categorize them as a single genre.

Anyone think Von- Satanic Blood should be in the Black Metal list?

Doesn't count as an album, even though it was later re-released as one.
