So what's up? Anyone listened to any new albums? I've recently gone through the new Opeth and Mastodon album. The Opeth one I didn't like that much going through the first listen, while Mastodon had some neat songs.

I also found this semi-interesting article, at least for me. I know it's old, by the way.

I've actually been listening to mostly mediocre stuff lately, but I kind of like the new Opeth album. Sounds like I'm about the only one.

So all you knowledgable people, I listened to a song by Isis caleld The begining and the end, and one by Neurosis called origin. Im not too big into sludge metal, but these songs certainly have a lot more melody than I expected. Any recs ? or should i pick up the albums these songs are from ?

If you liked The Beginning and the End you should like the entire Oceanic album. Be careful calling that stuff sludge, though. brc might smack you upside the head.

song i heard was definitely NOT sludge, hence i ask for stuff that sounds like this and NOT sludge :razz:
