I actually tried when I first got an account but the pictures I was trying appeared to fit the specifications but it still wouldn't accept them, always saying the file size was too big.

Anyone know of any other soul albums to be included? I know there's a ton that we've been forgetting.

There have got to be some vocal groups that need recognition. Also, there's Aretha, Otis, and probably some Jackie Wilson album that you know of.

Wilson's albums were not that influential or impactful, since he was stuck on a low-budget label with no promotion or hype that other artists had (long story there, read his bio sometime, unbelievable read).

We already have the top albums from Aretha and Otis, though I know they must have others.
Also, Al Green and James Brown have to have some studio albums for inclusion.

What do we have past the top ten? Also, a Michael Jackson album could fit in somewhere and I have an obligation to suggest What's Goin On because its my favorite soul album.

What's Goin' On is in the top 20, and MJ's "Bad" is on the list too.

Are we starting from scratch or just making minor changes to the current list?

We're just making changes. The list is on page 1 of this thread.

Okay. Like I said, there ought to be a couple entries for vocal groups.

I'm thinking of vocal groups from the 50's like The Platters (probably the biggest of them all), but I dont know if they have any significant albums per se, since singles were the more common format in that time.

You don't think there is one that could make the list? Sidebar: Are we planning to expand the list or keep it to fourty?

Back in those days, artsits (soul artists especially) weren't known for doing albums. They did singles. So the Platters, the Penguins, the Dominoes, the Drifters aren't going to have much going in the way of great albums.
