Then why do you keep making negative comments about him?

Negative comments about Clapton? i never made them, and Sunshine of Your Love solo is one of my all time favorite.

Then I really misunderstood you. It might just be a problem with your English.
My bad.

There's nothing sloppy about the Stairway solo from TSRTS.

Yes there is. Page used to perform slopilly live, and he never played anything better than CN Pulse.

And NegativeCreep, show me the post where I libeled Clapton.

Sometimes he did, sometimes he didn't. The Stairway from TSRTS is not sloppy. Would you like to point out a specific part (give me times) which is sloppy from it?

The entire solo is sloppy except for the first 3 seconds where the solo resembles that of the studio version. The truth is that Page wasn't that good live player (listen to the live performances of Achilles Last Stand)

Are your ears broken?

edit: Taro, if you want to tangle with Georgi and me about Page's live playing, you're going to lose. Badly.

Didn't you post the godawful Berlin 1980 Stairway version in the greatest solo thread? You make no sense whatsoever.

When? Show me that post.

Page had 18 strings on that shitty guitar and still wasn't able to find decent notes to save his ass.
