Whole Lotta Love was #1 in a number of countries (Australia, Germany etc) #2 in Canada, #5 Switzerland and pretty well Top 10 everywhere else that had charts around the world (for example #6 in South Africa). Their remaining singles released in the 70`s were also hits in those same markets (one example the Immigrant Song was #7 in South Africa, #4 in Switzerland etc).... Take care

Whatever. The Who's cover of "Barbara Ann" went to #1 in the Netherlands, and no one should care.

... yes but it certainly doesn`t mean other information can`t be brought forward for discussion ... or looking at other gauges such as concert size ... opening act status, sold out venues .... for example the biggest audience I believe SW had in the US during the 70`s was when he opened for the Stones but that is going by memory and musically SW`s material does not translate all that well to large venues so it is an apples and oranges comparison .... Take care

He's much closer to Led Zeppelin in albums than Led Zeppelin is to Stevie in singles. At least when it comes to peak chart positions.
