I really need to revise this list heavily to include albums from 2008 and 2009. Any input would be appreciated.

Obvious one would be Death Magnetic by Metallica.

I'd say these 5 for sure:
Lady Gaga – The Fame
Lil Wayne – Tha Carter, Vol. 3
Black Eyed Peas – The E.N.D.
Coldplay – Viva La Vida
T.I. – Paper Trail

And probably also these 2:
Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

Is there any way the Marshall Mathers LP can be moved to the top? It just doesn't look right with those two reversed.

I'm thinking there should probably be another Sufjan album on there, in addition to "I and Love and You" by the Avett Brothers.

And Absolution was a much better album than Black Holes and Revelations.

Arcade Fire's Funeral could probably bump up into the Top 20, eh?

It means the entry wasn't on the list on the previous version.

Should American Idiot really be so high? I know it sold a lot, but I think after it's initial release the cultural and musical impact it had at the time of its release hasn't lasted very much.

I think it had some influence and certainly some impact, but it does look too high.

Oh, I agree, I just don't think it's legacy quite lasted as it was predicted too.

even though im no Coldplay fan, rush of blood seems like an easy top 10 ..... its held on quite well and dare i say possibly the most acclaimed rock album in the 00s along with Kid A and all you cant leave behind..... and it sold massive....easily see it above Elephant ....

In Rainbows looks too low considering Amnesiac & HTTT are above it plus IR has possibly been more well regarded with such little time since release (bout 3 yrs).
Backspacer has had almost career best reviews! and reception has been better than any other 00 s Pearl Jam albums so maybe a consideration. Accelerate by R.e.m. Ditto as pearl jams reception.not sure about its lasting impact though.
