i was gonna make a poll for best TV series of all-time but i figured we'd have more attachment to recent shows. so i went with basically shows from 2000-present.

I've watched about half of these. It's between The Wire and The Sopranos. I'd go with The Wire. I don't see much swaying that opinion, but I still won't vote without seeing more of these shows.

Perfect, completed, greatest TV show of all time, greatest cultural work of the last 30 years, hyperbole really isn't possible with it: The Wire
Perfect but incomplete: Deadwood, Breaking Bad
Near-perfect: The Sopranos
Flawed but absolutely wonderful: Lost, The Shield, BSG, FNL, The West Wing, Mad Men
(Merely) Very Good: Dexter, Six Feet Under
Either great or awful depending on the season: 24 (also Rescue Me)
M'eh: House

"The Wire". I like "Lost" more, but the question was "Best TV Drama of Our Generation", not "Favorite TV Drama".

I'm not voting until I see "The Wire". I've heard nothing but good things about it.
