I haven't listened to any Guilt Machine, but I suppose I should "complete the circle" and give it a listen.
The Devin tracks were the best ones on THE- and Loser also has Mike Baker (RIP) from Shadow Gallery as the father.

Guilt Machine is mediocre at best.

Of all of Arjen's projects that I've heard, I'd rank them thusly:

1. The Human Equation
2. Into the Electric Castle
3. The Universal Migrator Part 1
4. 01011001
5. The Universal Migrator Part 2
6. The Final Experiment
7. Victims of the Modern Age
8. Actual Fantasy
9. Space Metal
10. On This Perfect Day

The best tracks on THE, in my opinion, were Pain, Hope, Memories and Love.

Spastic Ink - Ink Complete.
7.5/10
Technical Instrumental Metal, by the one and only pioneer Ron Jarzombek.
First of all the guitar playing is amazing.
The songs are interesting, but not brilliant.
They are not good enough to keep you alarm through the whole album.
The album lacks of soul of course, but the writing of some of the parts is incredible and just for them its worth listening.

Listen to Watchtower again anyway.

IMO, "To Counter and Groove in E Minor" is the only really good song on that album, but I really love that song.

I loved it and was blown away. For a 1967 album it sure sounds wonderful and groundbreaking.

This is the metal section.

Well I'll help resurrect it a tad.
Within the last week,

SepticFlesh - The Great Mass 7.5-8/10
A good album, but if you don't care for Communion or Sumerian Daemons I doubt you'll like it.
The conditions under which I listened to it could've been better so my rating may be a tad off.
They play up the orchestration but it also has a neat darkness to it.

Blut Aus Nord - 777 Sect(s) 8.5-9/10
This may be my new favourite BAN album, it's very dark and the industrial side adds wonders to the whole dark/ambient feel. Tracks 2 and 6 would be my favourites.

Lunatic Gods - Sitting By the Fire 8/10
Lunatic Gods - Ante Portas 7.5/10

Two solid albums, as I mentioned in the other thread they remind me of Lykathea Aflame meets- Sigh, especially in their later album Ante Portas, where at times they remind me of a more death-metally version to Sigh's avant garde black metal (though neither Lunatic Gods or Sigh at this stage are clearly DM or BM). If you're into more experimental/progressive stuff, give them a listen.

Excuse my fucking retardation. I never saw that it was the "metal" section. All I seen was "Last album you heard". I haven't been using the forum very much, i'm fairly new to it. Why does everyone here get so goddamn agressive and pissed off towards people who make a mistake or say something they don't like? You guys could of simply told me this was the metal section and I don't need 3 or 4 people telling me that.

Christ people, take a chill pill. It was just a mistake.

LEARN FROM Nesquik.....that's how you respond to someone who makes a mistake and posts in the wrong forum.

And your obviously a fucking troll who is trying to piss me off. If not then your simply dumb for not reading the past 6 or 7 posts where I admitted to my mistake and 3 or 4 people told me that this is the metal section. I also edited my post so what you quoted isn't even there anymore. Keep responding to ghostly posts that aren't even there. You need to work harder on your trolling there fuckface.

Obviously I read the last few posts, and commented because I noted how much of a pussy you acted in your last post.
Harden the fuck up man- besides, if I were trolling, because you went and ripped on me three times in five sentences.

Folks are no longer allowed to discuss proto-metal in the metal forum?
