Switch 12 Songs with Sail Away, also by Randy Newman... They're both Widely acclaimed albums but Sail Away is more of a 'lyricist album'...

Switched the albums and extended the list to a nice round 75. Some questions:

1. There Goes Rhymin' Simon for the top 80?
2. Any more rap suggestions?
3. Could Lou Reed's Berlin get a spot?
4. This Year's Model or My Aim Is True?

The top fifty looks solid... the next forty have the right albums (mostly), but maybe not in the best places.

For instance:

Harvest and possibly The Wall should both be above (at least) The Queen is Dead.

Does Soft Parade really belong in the top 100?

The list needs Willy & The Poor Boys by Creedence.. Top 60-70 range I'd say..

Also, I think a Steely Dan album could make the final placements.. Pretzel Logic for the 60-70 range..

Alice by Tom Waits should probably be rather high on here also. Every track, without exception, is pretty much as close to lyrical perfection as one can get.

Also, no Porcupine Tree? Deadwing and/or In Absentia could probably be Top 100.

I agree about Alice... Not so sure about Porcupine Tree... Again, Steely Dan needs one or two albums here, probably in the lower rangesm though Pretzel Logic has a shot at a middle placement (around 60-70 range). Another album could be Can't Buy A Thrill, or The Nightfly from Fagen's solo career...
