I can live with that... Anyway, if i would suggest anything for the 41-50 you made, it would be to move C&S down to FtR spot, and then put The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway on #43... There's already 2 Mitchell albums on the list, and comparing her abilities to the ones Gabriel showcases on that album, i think he should take that spot. The quality of the lyrics, plus the overall accliam of the album, i think that placement is only fair...

Also, I'd probably replace one of the Beatles albums with Vitalogy...

42. John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (John Lennon)
43. Revolver (Lennon/McCartney/Harrison)
44. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (Peter Gabriel)
45. Wish You Were Here (Roger Waters)
46. Exodus (Bob Marley)
47. Court & Spark (Joni Mitchell)
48. Vitalogy (Eddie Vedder)
49. Summertime Dream (Gordon Lightfoot)
50. London Calling (Joe Strummer)

Question: Is it possible to post what we've got so far on the first page, so we wouldn't have to keep copy-pasting what we have for reminders every other page?

I haven't noticed, does Brett Alan even post here? If not, then someone active around here should be moderator instead... It's anoying not being able to update the lists properly...

Yes, I'm here.

I've put the current top 50 into the first post. I'm not sure if there's a way to put one of Deany's posts first so that he can edit it, but I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, let me know when you want the first post changed and I'll make it so.

Any more comments on 41-50 before we move on?

Well, i just thought about perhaps adding some Randy Newman... Good Old Boys or 12 Songs i'd say... But he could be pushed to the 51-60 range i guess...

Here's my 51-60 draft:

51. The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
52. Tonight's The Night
53. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
54. Clouds
55. 12 Songs
56. Wildflowers
57. Bridge Over Troubled Water
58. The Naked Ride Home
59. Blood And Chocolate
60. Songs From A Room

Probably needs a lot of reordering, but at least the names are out there. Also, am I the only one who thinks Freewheelin' should move waaaaaaaaaay up?

Yeah, its great. Provided its eligible for this list, I'd push it way up. I consider it a folk album, though.

I'd consider it eligible, but it's certainly open for debate.

Well, I just realized it doesn't say 100 Greatest Rock Lyrical Albums, it is just 100 Greatest Lyrical Albums. So, I don't see why not.

Also, Moondance should probably be squeezed in somewhere there... Not really sure what i would throw out... Probably just Songs From A Room...

I suppose you could argue it is somewhat related to alternative folk which would make it more rock than Freewheelin, but it doesn't matter.
