If Federer can avoid Nadal for one major, I think he can do it. Sure, he's 1-3 in his last four major matches with Djokovic, but in two of those losses he had multiple match points. If Nadal falls early (i.e. before the final, I guess), then Federer would probably be the favorite to win any of the majors except the Australian where Djokovic is clearly king.

And I haven't really followed golf for a few years, so I have no idea what's up with Tiger.

Odds are that Feds will always have to beat 2 from Nadal, Novak and Murray to win a major. Not sure that he can do that any more unless injuries come into it.

Golf is not one man against another and anyone who can string 4 good rounds together can win a major. There have been many winners from outside the top 5 or 6 players over the last few years, so even though it is competitive, I'll go Tiger

i still think the real answer was "they both have a 99.9999% chance of winning another major". i don't have to wait for Tiger to know thats still true.

edit: Tiger is gonna play for another 10 years minimum imo. that's way too many chances not to win at least 1, especially since he's still honestly the best golfer in the world (even if the gap is not what it was).

Yes, that's about right. Though maybe, for me, the percentage was a little lower for fed just because of longevity issues.
