And dude I love Palmer too! (Need to check him out more tho) Recently watched/listened to a youtube thing of his (was it the Atomic Rooster song you linked? I think so) which moved me to tears (the drumming). That says a lot...perfection

And So To Bed? Yeah that is some amazing fucking drum work there. I think Palmer's creativity is very underrated. Listen to the beat he's doing during the verses. Amazingly subtle and creative.

ALSO, you need to hear the solo on Decline And Fall from the same album.
Some explosive shit there!

I believe it was the solo I'm thinking of

Ariel/CRJ,

Absolute madness from a 19 year-old Palmer. :freak:

Is it good in general? "Good" doesn't even begin to describe it.
It is easily my favorite drum album from Palmer. He actually shows some impressive versatility throughout too.
I just couldn't believe when I found out he was only 19 when he recorded it.

How the hell does a 12 year-old get that kind of skill?! Crazy.
6.5/10.

Dale Crover....best Nirvana drummer by far. This is some manic double bass.

I do know, and couldn't care less.
Still like Palmer a helluva lot more.

Thoughts on the Crover performance with Nirvana?

I dont rate it as anything, but I like the song and how the drums add to it. For me, its all about Nirvana in the 80s. I am a much bigger fan of their earlier work and Bleach compared to nevermind and in utero

That performance WAS from the 80's.
I thought you'd be able to tell, as it didn't sound anything like Nevermind...

Crover > Grohl and Channing, by far.

Oh hell yes. That awesome keyboard track you heard was only the tip of the iceberg.
You need to just listen to their first two albums. Palmer only played on the first one, but the second - Death Walks Behind You, is widely considered a heavy prog masterpiece.
Shit will blow your mind.

So check your PM's...
