Elephant Talk is WAY more complex and nuanced than you'd think, you just need to listen really closely to what he's doing. Rule of thumb on Bruford: NOTHING he does is 'simple'.

(Not trying to pick on you, just sayin')

I think a lot of the important performances are on there actually. The problem with Bill is his career is so incredibly vast, his body of work, that to make an informed list you'd need to know hundreds of songs.

I do think Heart of the Sunrise, South Side of the Sky, Siberian Khatru, Indiscipline, Red, One More Red Nightmare, Discipline are all pretty much locks. And look at me haha I'm already up to 7 for a guy with hundreds of performances, when I'm familiar with precisely five of his albums in full (Yes, King Crimson), and only vaguely familiar with his non Yes/KC work. Doh. Surely TEN performances for a guy like this is too limiting...

Yeah I probably haven't even heard a fraction of his whole body of work. But what I have heard has blown my mind.

I still say Larks > HotS....

Beelzebub is another must. That performance is ridiculous that whole song is nuts

One World (Not Three) is definitely NOT his best performance. You've also neglected to include "Regatta de Blanc", which is arguably his best performance, as well as "No Time This Time" and "Next To You". And Copeland only plays the high-hat at the beginning of "Red Rain".

To be honest, one of many songs from Live At Leeds should be his #1.

No studio performance can touch most of what he does on that album.
