Raining Blood and Angel Of Death became the performances which more so than any others kick-started that kind of metal drumming... Silent Scream was faster, but didn't do much new nor add any new influence to the table...

Actually if you want to be technical about what started that drumming, then that would be songs on show no mercy. those songs were the first to have those kind of beats at those speeds. I agree where raining blood is though. That should be higher than angel of death as well. Silent scream also has the better fills during the chorus. Most of angel of death's fills are just hitting the crash cymbal. and if influence is so important to you guys than howcome ticks and leeches is number two? that didn't influence much and is an extremely good drum performance. :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot:

Show no Mercy's drumming was basically punk.

It started on Haunting the Chapel with songs like Chemical Warfare and Aggressive Perfecter, and he "became Dave" on Hell Awaits.

I agree but show no mercy was just missing the double bass work thats all. lets not get into a musicaly correct debate though. His best performance though I found out was not silent scream, not angel of death, not even raining blood, but bug juice. That must be on this list. IT is so amazing. :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot: :parrot:
