What should be the highest ranked album for Bruford? It's a toss-up between Fragile, Larks Tongues In Aspic, and Red. IMO of course.

And I still say Tommy > Who's Next.

Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage realy should be higher it's probably vinnie's finest moment! it was praised for its great drumming and called many times one of the top 25 greatest drum albums of all time

Actually I was quite underwhelmed by the drumming on that album. Seeing as how this is VINNIE we're talking about, I expected much, much more.
It's alright though. Definitely nowhere NEAR the most impressive stuff I've heard from him.
Some of his clinics and jazz solos will just leave you utterly speechless.

Yeah I can see Fragile being there.

And I cant believe that a while back, we were saying that Fresh Cream is overrated.

Looking back now, it definitely is not. This is the album with Rollin' And Tumblin', Toad, and N.S.U.
Thing about Ginger is that he so much better LIVE than in studio.

i'd say chinatown is maybe better then bad reputation.

Is there any possibility that The Stone Roses enter the list? Reni is a beast.

I've heard many good things about the Stone Roses though, any recommendations?

They might seem a bit overrated (specially by the british press). I love their first album a lot and it's one of my top 3 favourite albums ever, but it takes a while to like it, though. The talent of the bass, drum and guitar players is outstanding, imo.

This is another tricky list. My biggest complaint is Fragile at 9, especially behind Awake. This whole list needs re doing. The number 1 should probably be Led Zeppelin, if going by impact/influence, that album sparked it all with Bohnam, and Good Times Bad Times is arguably the most important performance Bohnam ever had. If I had to do a top 5, I'd probably go:

1. Led Zeppelin
2. Moving Pictures/Fresh Cream
3. Fresh Cream/Moving Pictures
4. Fragile
5. Brain Salad Surgery/Lateralus

really this list is hard so I have no clue how to actually make a top 5. All I know is LZ should probably be number 1 and Fragile and Fresh Cream should be top 5. Beyond there don't even know.

Yeah it's very tricky to come up with a criteria that would work.
I think "impact and influence", in the context of drumming albums, is a little too hard to quantify in this case.

I would probably rank them on skill, variety, and maybe....how important the drums were to the album in general.

Also I dont see any way that Lateralus could be above Tommy or Who's Next.

If we are going on quality of the drumming Lateralus is not just his best but one of the most jaw dropping drum albums in rock. Tommy and Who's Next are more impactual, but for quality, originality, skill, and style Lateralus.

I'm inclined to agree. My Generation should also be on this list.

I agree with Tommy > Who's Next. A Quick One should be up there too.
