All I know is that Keith Moon is locked at #1.

If you're really going by the criteria you've set, that list is all sorts of wrong.

LOL ability to "stay awake" during performances...

Seriously though, Baker is so much more deserving than Bonham.

I honestly can't believe I left him out. Where would you see him being placed? I think 3 or 4 would be nice.

Also, feel free to recommend some more. I'm gonna need some help with this one. Do you think Ian Paice is top ten worthy?

I kinda got this for now:

1. Keith Moon
2. Neil Peart
3. Terry Bozzio
4. Ginger Baker
5. Carl Palmer
6. John Bonham
7. Ian Paice
8. Bill Bruford
9. ?
10. ?

Might add Danny Carey and Copeland to the bottom spots. Not sure yet.

Can you explain what Moon is doing at #1? Since when is he the most consistent drummer?

Live at Leeds? Greatest live drumming album of all time..
Live at the Isle of Wight? Fantastic creativity and improvisation.
Live at Charlton F.C.? One of his best performances.
And who could forget "The Kids Are Alright" when Keith Moon played that tremendous drumming performance on "A Quick One".

I've never seen any drummer as energetic for such a long period such as Moon. Moon played aggressively throughout his whole performances in every show. I've also never seen another drummer shown on the camera so often during a concert, maybe because other drummers aren't as exciting to watch? Moon replicated a style, and one of the huge reasons he's the 4th greatest drummer of all time is because of his style on the drums when he performed live.

I had a feeling you were going to mention him.

I do think he should have a fair placement on this list since he scores well in consistency, but I'm sure there's plenty drummers that would come before him. I'd say he could merit a spot between 25 and 45.

It's not about having great drumming albums, it's about being consistent throughout concert tours.

I mentioned him cause I'm really sure he deserves that spot in the live setting mainly thanks to his energy, creativity and originality.
