You obviously have little knowledge of the history, evolution, and various branches and sub-genres of "rock" music.

And who would you say was more greater influenced by Chuck Berry or Little Richard (for example)...James Brown (who you obviously identify as "funk") or Guns & Roses (whom you'd say are "real" rock & rollers)???

For the record if you came up with this list it's not bad. With only a couple exceptions I'd say these are all very creative and serious bassists with a real unique voice on the instrument. So you have good taste.

But let's move this discussion to the main rock bassists thread!

Sure thing. Let me know what you think about Sting's performances in those songs I recommended. I named my dog Sting for a reason lol.

So G&R are not "real" rockers either???...HAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. How were you even able to come up with 25 bass guitarists that fit your definition of a "REAL". Rock & Roller? Did you know that James Jamerson was the very first sideman inducted into the ROCK &ROLL HALL OF FAME???...Stick around if you want to learn anything....That is unless you're just a troll coming on here to pull our collectove legs.

I made this list quite a while ago. I most certainly am not a troll. I agree with the terms of R&B being rock now. Can we all just get along please. Guns N Roses are real rockers but not influential legends. And the Hall of Fame is bullshit. That's why great bands like Yes, Deep Purple, Rush, King Crimson and much more haven't been inducted yet.
