Been playing the red emulator the last 2 days

I completely forgot about the trading card game and stadium games. The Snap game was one of the dumbest games ever. I did not know there were this many pokemon games.

Never underestimate the ability of a company to bank fucking shit on a successful franchise.

Snap was pretty decent, I don't care what anyone says.

It had a lot of missed potential though, if they made a sequel with all the Pokemon (or at least the original 150) that would be awesome.

LOVED Snap.

I loved all the games though I find them impossible to replay and even play anymore. I got Soul Silver and never found the motivation to go further than the fifth gym :freak:

I dom't like to use those speed increasing things they just make me dizzy especially when the music speeds up.

If I have one complaint about the Pokemon games it's getting dragged into fights with wild Pokemon ALL the time, that repellant really comes in handy.

It would have been nice if you could actually see them in the overworld so you could tell they are approaching, you know like in Earthbound or something like that.

I tried out some of the newer versions and I did not really like them at all. The games themselves were solid but the Pokemon no longer look badass anymore, they have regressed the animation in my opinion and made them look more um... I guess cutesy would be the appropriate word.

Yeah that's basically the trend with every major Japanese game or anime franchise. Progressively more and more "kawaii" design.

It really sucks too. I guess if children are their main demographic it makes sense though.

Even the stuff targeted at a more adult or adolescent audience is susceptible to this dumbing-down-lame-ass-kawaii-freakshow-bullshit unfortunately. It has practically killed good anime and anime-influenced games.

Silent Hill series, Resident Evil series. Horror is one genre Japanese developers usually do better.

Resident Evil was a good series intil RE4 completely ruined it.

But no wonder you like those games, they have that lifeless western look, terrible voice acting and no color.
