Yea, I tried to avoid 5pp moves as they usually came back to bite me in the ass. But I usually had a couple fast pokemon with high pp moves that I could use to move quickly through the elite four. Even though he isn't great, Dugtrio destroys pretty much every poison pokemon with just dig.

pp up nigga

This thread made me nostalgic enough to find and emulator and a Pokemon Red rom. Guess I'll get one of the second generation when this is over. Goodbye uni deadlines, I'm too busy playing hand-held games from the 90's for honours.

I never played any of the games besides red/blue. Are the other ones worth playing?

Second generation's definitely worth playing. Not a huge fan of the ones afterward, but they're all enjoyable enough.

ruby and saphire were pretty much the same thing and awesome...but emerald is all that, and throw in the battle frontier, and IMO, you have the best Pokemon game since the red/blue/yellow era .....

I've played Gold/Silver and Ruby/Sapphire, they all feel like remakes but with new Pokemon.

Is that a bad thing? Fuck no. I don't think you can go wrong with any game in the main series.
